WEC Executive Assembly 2009 in Reykjavik
Geysir Participates in the EA Exhibition
The World Energy Council Executive Meeting started in Reykjavik, Iceland today. The Executive Assembly takes place 16th-19th of September at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica. The event brings together more than 250 senior delegates from many of the world's largest power companies and energy officials from 96 nations.
Along with the Executive Assembly event an exhibition is being held where Geysir Green Energy is taking part, along with other Icelandic renewable energy companies and car manufacturers Mitsubishi, Toyota and Tesla Motors, that present electric cars.
The Iceland Energy Day is on Thursday, 17th September, where policymakers, government officials and other energy leaders in Iceland will speak about the energy issues and challenges which the country is facing and the solutions it is developing.
The World Energy Council is the most representative body of the energy industry with members in 96 countries. Its mission is to promote the sustainable supply and use of energy for the greatest benefit of all. The London-based organization has official consultative status with the United Nations. The 84-year-old World Energy Council is the leading global multi-energy organization.
