Geysir Green Energy Divests Holding in Ram Power - Geysir Green Energy selur hlut sinn í Ram Power
Geysir Green Energy (Geysir), the Iceland-based geothermal company, today announced it has divested its holding in Ram Power Corp. (TSX: RPG), a renewable energy company based in Reno, Nevada, engaged geothermal power projects.

Geysir Green Energy (Geysir), hefur selt hlut sinn í bandaríska jarðhitafélaginu Ram Power Corp. Salan er hluti af markvissri áætlun til að stuðla að lækkun skulda félagsins.
Með viðskiptunum losar Geysir allan hlut sinn í jarðhitafélaginu Ram Power Corp (TSX: RGP) sem er á hlutabréfamarkaði í Toronto, Kanada en félagið er með höfuðstöðvar í Reno í Nevada fylki í Bandaríkjunum. Söluverðmæti bréfanna er um 11 milljónir kanadískra dollara. Salan er tengd ákvörðun stjórnar Geysis í samráði við viðskiptabanka félagsins frá því í lok 2009 að vinna markvisst að lækkun skulda félagsins með sölu eigna þess á næstu misserum.
Ram Power Corp. er jarðhitafélag sem vinnur að uppbyggingu og rekstri jarðhitavirkjana til raforkuframleiðslu í Norður- og Suður-Ameríku. Geysir varð kjölfestufjárfestir í Ram Power Inc. í nóvember 2008 stuttu eftir stofnun þess. Í október 2009 sameinaðist Ram Power Inc. þremur öðrum kanadískum jarðhitafélögum og var stuttu síðar sett á markað í Kanada. Heildarverðmæti félagsins á markaði í dag er um 450 milljónir kanadískra dollara.

Geysir Green Energy Divests Holding in Ram Power
Geysir Green Energy (Geysir), the Iceland-based geothermal company, today announced it has divested its holding in Ram Power Corp. (TSX: RPG), a renewable energy company based in Reno, Nevada, engaged geothermal power projects.
In the transaction, Geysir divested its entire holding in Ram Power Corp. (TSX: RPG) for a total of approximately CAD$11 million. The sale of the share is in accordance with Geysir's decision from December of 2009 to lower the company's debts by selling some of its assets over the next few quarters. Ram Power Corp. is a renewable energy company focused in the business of acquiring, exploring, developing and operating geothermal power projects in North and South America. Geysir became a key shareholder of Ram Power Inc. in November 2008 shortly after its establishment. Ram Power Inc. merged with three other Canadian geothermal companies in October 2009 and is now traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
