Shaanxi Green Energy multiplies its operations in Xianyang, China.
On Novemer 15, Shaanxi Green started this heating seasons operations of a greatly enlarged geothermal district heating system in the city of Xianyang, Shaanxi province, China. The total building area now heated by geothermal is around 630.000 sqm, provided by 4 wells and related heat centrals.
This is the second year of operation for Shaanxi Green. The increase of the heating system from the previous year is substantial, as the heated area is now almost 4 times the size it was before.
The operations of Shaaxi Green has been very successful. The Icelandic geothermal expertise has proven to be higly applicable in China and the cooperation between the parties has been excellent.
Shaanxi Green is a Joint Venture Company between Enex Cina and CGCOC. Enex China is equally owned by Geysir Green Energy, Enex and Reykjavik Energy Invest. Geysir further holds a 73% stake in Enex. CGCOC is a subsidiary of the Sinopec Group.
